Safe Big Bag handling guide

Six practical rules to fill, lift, transport, store and discharge Big Bags without risk to people or product.

  1. 1Before filling

Check fabric, loops and seams; never use a damaged Big Bag.

  2. 2Filling

Do not exceed the SWL; fill evenly so the unit stays stable.

  3. 3Lifting

Use all the loops; forklift tines must be rounded and the right length; never stand under a suspended load.

  4. 4Transport

Secure the load and avoid sharp edges on the platform.

  5. 5Storage

On level ground or a pallet, protected from the sun for long-term storage; stack only models designed for it.

  6. 6Discharge

Open the spout with the Big Bag suspended over the hopper, keeping hands and body clear underneath.
